Start Your Cruise off Right

A cruise vacation is an experience you'll never forget. And we want to help you get the very most out of every moment. So they have put together a few basic guidelines to help ensure a safe and timely departure for all our guests.

In order to ensure everyone has time to pass through security, all guests must check in at least 60 minutes in advance of scheduled departure. If you have not checked in 60 minutes prior to departure, you will be considered a no-show, and your booking will be cancelled and cancellation penalties applied.

Friends and relatives are welcome to come to the dock to see you off. However, for security reasons, they will not be allowed to board the ship at any port.

Each scheduled passenger will need to complete their Guest Information Form prior to arrival at the dock. For your convenience, you can now complete this form online under boarding documents. To complete this form, you will need your booking number, ship and sail date, all your personal information, as well as any contact information you wish to provide.

Guests in the same stateroom will receive one convenient ticket booklet so long as each individual in the stateroom has the same last name, same air gateway, same arrival date and time, and same pre/post package(s). If guests in the same stateroom have different names or travel itineraries, they will receive separate booklets.

Most cruise lines have designed their ticket booklet to provide more value. The booklets now feature:

- Table of contents for quick access to needed information
- Complete travel schedule and itinerary map
- Ticket and vouchers that are personalized to the guest
- Fewer forms that need to be filled out prior to boarding
- Guest services information packaged in an easy-to-use manner

- Luggage tags are now personalized with name and stateroom number
- Tags for different ships are identified by bolded ship name for ease of identification

Electronic air tickets will be used when possible to lessen the burden of returning air tickets for changes. Occasionally, on international air itineraries, a guest may receive a combination of both paper and e-tickets. Air information is easily found in the new Ticket Booklet. Once you have received your air itineraries you may call the airlines to reserve your choice of seats or you may wait until you arrive at the airport.

Vancouver International Airport now offers cruise guests US Direct, a new service program designed to get you to your ship as quickly as possible. US Direct may save you up to two hours of customs and immigration wait times. In order to be eligible to participate in US Direct, the following criteria MUST be met prior to your arrival in Vancouver for your cruise vacation:
- You must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal U.S. resident.
- Arrive into Vancouver prior to 2:00 PM on the day of the sailing on a flight originating from the United States.
- Be an air/sea guest OR have purchased our cruise only transfers in advance.
- Place the ship baggage tags on all checked luggage prior to checking in for the flight to Vancouver. If you do not have luggage tags or need more, please contact your travel agent. ALL checked luggage must be pre-tagged as you will not claim your luggage at the airport.

Upon arrival to Vancouver, follow the green US Direct signs and watch for airport staff at the US Direct transfer point. Please have your proof of citizenship and bus transfer voucher in hand. Do not proceed down the escalators for entry into Canada.
